Round Rock Fire Stations No. 4 & 8 (Prototype)

Round Rock, Texas

Prototype Stations No. 4 and 8 were designed and built concurrently for cost savings and keeping up with the City’s growth. As a prototype, the design only needs to be adapted to future sites. The 11,780 SF stations feature three drive-thru bays equipped with EMS, storage, bunker gear storage, and laundry/extractor gear drying, and watch/study room for greeting visitors. Three separate lockable pantries serve the commercial kitchen, which opens into the living/day room. Two adjoining officer/sleeping rooms share a locker area and bathroom. Individual sleeping rooms for seven firefighters and two EMS staff members are supported by three toilet/shower areas and a gang locker room.
