Borne from a BSW study and subsequent bond passage in 2018, the new Keller Senior Activities Center replaced an outgrown 4200 sf facility. Amenities in the new 21,210 sf center include traditional senior program spaces such as arts and crafts, gaming/billiards, a classroom, lounge space, a small fitness room and flexible multipurpose rooms with a kitchen and courtyard. The new center also includes an 6800 sf gymnasium striped for basketball, volleyball, chair volleyball and 3 pickleball courts with multipurpose flooring to accommodate other activities. Nestled into Johnson Road Park, the facility synergistically shares its site with the Keller Library, a playground and a loop trail with close proximity to senior living facilities.
