Bell County Justice Center

Belton, TX

This project began with a Needs Assessment to determine the present and future (20 year) needs for all District Courts, County Courts, Sheriff’s Office and Detention facilities. We then developed the space requirements needed to satisfy the projected needs.

Based upon the projected needs, the County purchased a 75-acre site on the edge of town for a new Courts and Jail complex. We Master-Planned the site and later designed 4 buildings which were constructed on the site over a 5 year period. The Phase I District Courts Building and the Phase II County Court- at- Law Addition contained 10 court rooms, a Jury Call / Large Court Room, Judges Chambers, Law Library, Administrative Offices for the District and County Attorneys, the District and County Clerks, a Court Room and Administrative space for1 Justice of the Peace and a Secure Holding facility with Sally Port.
