In addition to Fire Administration and Central Fire Station, the City of Artesia’s 85,000 SF Public Safety building includes space for Artesia Police, New Mexico DPS, State Police, County Sheriff, Municipal Court, Probation, and Parole. The design’s goal was to share as much space as possible for cost efficiency while still maintaining the autonomy and functional separations required for each department. The Fire Chief and admin are located on the second floor with the Fire Marshal and CID. Firefighter living areas are located on the ground level for quick access to the four bays.
